John Meale, Managing Director of leading loading bay and materials handling equipment specialists, Thorworld Industries, has been appointed Vice President of the Federation Europeenne de la Manutention (FEM), the European Federation of Materials Handling.
SIEMENS PLM SOFTWARE APPOINTS PAUL VOGEL
Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) software and services, has appointed Paul Vogel, who was serving as Siemens PLM Software’s senior vice president for Sales and Services for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as executive vice president for Global Sales and Services.
Royal Dutch Shell appoints new CFO
The Board of Royal Dutch Shell plc has announced the appointment with effect from 1 May 2009 of Mr. Simon Henry, currently Executive Vice President Finance in Shell International Exploration and Production, as Chief Financial Officer to succeed Mr. Peter Voser who will become the Chief Executive on 1 July 2009.
New president for FTA
Former Christian Salvesen CEO Stewart Oades is to be the new president of the UK Freight Transport Association (FTA). Stewart Oades has over 30 years’ experience in the logistics industry and has operated at a senior level for Safeway Stores, Exel and Christian Salvesen, where he was responsible for its successful turnaround and sale to Groupe Norbert Dentressangle.
Joep van Beurden appointed to GSA Board
CSR has announced that Joep van Beurden has joined the Board of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA Mr. van Beurden joined CSR in 2007 and has over ten years of experience in managing technology companies in the US and Europe. Prior to CSR Mr. van Beurden was CEO for NexWave Inc., a provider of embedded software solutions for the consumer electronics market based in France. The GSA Board now comprises 22 executives from each region of the globe who reflect the organisation’s international reach and the varied nature of the semiconductor industry.
