Mecalux designs and builds Lakma's new logistics centre in Poland

Mecalux, a cutting-edge company worldwide for storage systems, has designed and built the new logistics centre in Poland for Lakma, one of the main chemical companies in the country. Poland is one of the main European markets for Mecalux, thanks to both the growing client portfolio and the advanced production plant for robotics and automation that was inaugurated in 2007, in the town of Gliwice. OHL Industrial and SENER will modernize two hydrocarbon plants in Oman

The Spanish Joint Venture of OHL Industrial and the engineering and technology group SENER has been awarded a contract EPC for the simultaneous modernization of two hydrocarbon plants of Petroleum Development Oman LLC (PDO), the foremost exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman, and a reference company worldwide in the Oil&Gas market. The plants which will be modernized are the Saih Nihayda Gas Plant (SNGP) and the Saih Rawl Central Processing Plant (SRCPP), located in the central part of the country, in the Omani desert, near the city of Qarn Alam, 35 km from one another. Therefore, the CE mark of quality for construction materials demands compliance with certain tests to demonstrate the durability of the tiles in areas or geographic regions where temperatures lower than -5ºC are recorded at least five days of the year. Intermarine, LLC (Intermarine) recently completed a shipment of project cargo that was discharged in Namibia as part of the Bokpoort Concentrating Solar Power Project located in the Northern Cape province of South Africa. In October, three heavy interchangers of 245 tons piece weight, two evaporators of 98 tons each and one 95 tons steam condenser have been loaded in North Spain onboard the MV HR Recognition, a heavy-lift vessel of 10,581 tons deadweight equipped with 2 cranes of 250 tons that can be combined to a maximum of 500 tons lifting capacity. Benecke-Kaliko acquires two Mecaseat companies

Hanover, Germany-based Benecke-Kaliko Group has announced that it is expanding production of foils for car interiors in Southern and Eastern Europe. On 1 November 2014 Benecke-Kaliko, part of Germany’s Continental Corporation, took over two sites of Belgium’s Mecaseat Group. The company states that it will soon own Mecaseat's Spanish company Gorvi S.A. in Pamplona, which supplies customers in Spain, France and North Africa, and its Polish company Mecapol in Wagrowiec, which supplies Eastern European and Russian customers with foils and upholstery materials. Rosetta probe, with SENER equipment, successfully lands on comet

The engineering and technology group SENER has supplied part of the equipment for the Rosetta probe, a pioneering European Space Agency (ESA) mission which has just completed the first-ever landing on a comet. The operation was carried out on Wednesday November 12. It took 7 hours for the Philae lander to approach the surface, finally landing successfully. This landing marks a breakthrough in space exploration, as this kind of celestial body – the veritable icebergs of space – had remained unchartered until now.
